Great nurses for a great community
The nurses at Harrison take care of their neighbors, which improves the overall health and success of the community. As the only hospital in Kitsap County, we are ingrained in the community and even though we have grown to a large medical center, we still have the roots of a small community hospital. Our nurses will tell you that when they come to work they get a warm, fuzzy feeling. When you walk down the hall, people will say hello to you and will usually know your first name.
Harrison truly cares about our nurses. At Harrison, we support shared governance and fosters collaborative, evidence-based practice with all disciplines, where quality of care, professional growth, and fiscal responsibility are shared objectives.
Harrison is a great place to develop your skills because we provide stepping stones to help you be successful. Our nurses have the ability to grow professionally through the various programs and support we offer. We present nurses with different certification programs and classes. We even have incentives to encourage our nurses to continue their education.
In concert with the mission, vision, and values of Harrison, the professional nursing staff provides holistic, patient-centered care based on the needs of individuals and their families.
Magnet Nurse Journey
Harrison is currently working on obtaining magnet status. The reason we are on this journey is because we provide the best of the best nursing care and want to be recognized for our quality and dedication to healthcare.
